Venezuela was the nation that participated most in financing Fidel Castro’s revolt of the band of outlaws in 1956-1958 and one of the first to finance the Castro Brothers’ dictatorship after they grab the power in 1959.
On January 23rd, 1959 Venezuela became the first country visited by Fidel Castro. The event took place just 15 days after he grab the power en Havana.
